Itinerary
A warm welcome awaits you at Kilimanjaro International Airport. A Gama Travel and Tours representative will escort your family to a cozy, family-friendly lodge in Arusha. The rest of the day is free for rest and orientation, with an optional visit to a local park or cultural center to introduce your children to Tanzania.
After breakfast, you’ll drive to Tarangire National Park, where the adventure begins. With its vast landscapes dotted by baobab trees and large elephant herds, Tarangire offers a gentle introduction to African wildlife. Your guide will tailor the game drive to keep it fun and interactive for kids, pointing out animals and sharing fascinating facts. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the river before heading to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Today includes a nature walk guided by a local expert who will teach the children how to identify tracks, insects, and plants. Afterwards, you’ll visit a nearby village for a cultural exchange, allowing your family to interact with local children and learn about Tanzanian traditions. Return to your lodge in the afternoon for rest and family time.
Set off for Lake Manyara National Park, a gem known for its tree-climbing lions, hot springs, and vibrant birdlife. The park’s varied ecosystems make it an exciting place for young explorers. After a scenic game drive and lakeside picnic, continue to your accommodation nestled near the Great Rift Valley for overnight.
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, often called the "Eighth Wonder of the World." With its dense wildlife population and enclosed setting, this is a fantastic location for children to spot the Big Five and learn about animal behavior. A picnic lunch will be served at the hippo pool before an afternoon drive through the crater. Return to your lodge along the crater rim for dinner and storytelling by the campfire.
After a morning game drive and breakfast, fly back to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel or to the airport for your international flight. Your family safari ends with memories of wildlife, landscapes, and shared adventure that will last a lifetime.
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti, where children can watch herds of wildebeest, elephants, and giraffes in their natural habitat. Your guide will make the experience engaging for younger travelers, and the day includes plenty of breaks, fun facts, and wildlife spotting games. In the evening, enjoy a farewell bush dinner and share stories under the stars.
